It's not easy being a Vampire you know .....
..... I mean it's not like I volunteered or anything ........

It's certainly not easy being the one with the memorable name you know, I mean, whenever there's a dirty job to do it's Dracula this, or Dracula that, or Dracula whatever ...
What makes it even more difficult is that where ever I go I don't know how humans, or other immortals for that matter, are going to percieve me. Something to do with "the magic of the movies", I'm not sure, but some people see me in a tailcoat and cape, some see me in a frock coat with a tophat and small round blue-lensed spectacles, tall, short, everything in between, with a european accent of varying degrees of credibility, or with a deep resonant English accent. There is even a small element of society that perceives me as a purple puppet with a number fixation ... and what makes it worse is that for some reason I end up following on with these expectations, whetherI want to or not.
Fair enough being King of the Vampires does have it's advantages ... I mean the women .... need I say more?
And the hypnotising thing is good fun too.
The transformations are definitely over-rated.
The blood thing?
I don't know it just tastes good I guess, and comes in very handy containers.
Whatever the situation I curse that afternoon spent with Stoker trying to get him to steal all the profits from The Lyceum. I knew I should have called it a day when Irving agreed to do Faust .... but that is another story.....
Mostly though, it's not all it's cracked up to be being Head Vampire in Hell... and I'm not just saying that because I know that it is the kind of thing you want to hear.
